The Cerner Corporation can depend on A. L. Huber to meet their aggressive schedules and deliver a project on time and within budget. This remodel at Cerner's Technology and Data Center in Lee's Summit was very time-challenging. The remodel of an existing space had to be completed and the new data center operational within four months after beginning of construction. With the endless cooperation of everyone involved, the project was finished ahead of schedule. After work began, the owner decided that additional generator support was needed, so the project was amended to provide a temporary and an additional permanent generator. The interior space was finished with an unusually high raised floor (30 inches) to accommodate the necessary ductwork and cabling. The entire work area had to be cleaned on a continuous basis during the entire construction period in order to maintain a dust free environment due to the existence of adjacent data rooms.
