In the summer of 1999, the historic First Presbyterian Church, built in 1926, was hit by lightning and burned to the ground. The congregation selected A. L. Huber to rebuild and Huber suggested that Mantel & Teeter be brought onto the team for this design build project. In February of 2002, the new traditional style church was dedicated. This facility has a main sanctuary with classrooms and offices in the adjoining wings on each side of the building.
