In September of 2005, A. L. Huber began construction of this 145,836 square foot, two-story office and data center building. Actually three projects in one - shell, parking structure and interior finish for Farmers Insurance, this project proved A. L. Huber's ability to meet an extremely challenging schedule and still provide a high quality product. By mid-January Huber furnished a fully operational data center and then built the rest of the building around this center. By April 1, Farmers Insurance was able to take possession and begin to move into their space. By June 1 the parking structure was completed and operational. Meeting this rigorous schedule was made possible through the cooperation of a carefully selected group of subcontractors and very rigorous synchronization of schedules. Tilt-up construction was used for the building and pre-cast, pre-stressed concrete for the three hundred car, two-level parking structure. An additional three hundred thirty surface parking spaces were also provided. The building is accented with large, Japanese-style patios and lush bamboo landscaping. A decorative, sunken-light feature and carefully placed boulders provide a Zen-like atmosphere at the building entry.
