"State of the Art" can be an often-overused descriptive term, but this project truly qualifies for its use. This car wash is the second of its type built in North America and is at least twice as big as the original. This project presented some interesting tests of design and skills. Environmental regulations required multiple underground water storage tanks, one is 150,000 gallons and there are 6 others that total 96,000 gallons. The steel trusses are 42 feet long and both the galvanizing and erection processes were very challenging because of this length. Kenneth M. Frashier & Associates was the architectural firm for this project.
