We Promise
A.L. Huber has dedicated our craft to providing the highest quality of construction in Kansas City for over a century. That is a lot of experience from which to draw. We promise that we will work side-by-side with our clients as we work together through every decision. We believe in the highest level of customer service and will deliver a product that exceeds our clients’ expectations. We are dedicated construction specialists who know how to build a lasting, beautiful structure. With professionalism and integrity, we will deliver the project on-time and on-budget.
Our Story
From 1903 and a man with a mule building houses $20 at a time, to
the 1960’s and projects which include corporate offices, financial
institutions, warehouses, and manufacturing and education
facilities, our range of projects continues to reach new horizons.
Today, we build new alternative fuel facilities while,
simultaneously, we oversee grand renovations of historic structures.
The A.L. Huber family name has been an integral part of building the
Greater Kansas City area. The diversity of our projects is
indicative of our depth and creativity when it comes to
strategy, cost analysis and scheduling solutions. We have
developed a reputation as the area's premier construction contractor
for religious facilities, having built more than one hundred
churches. Such diversity melded with unflinching integrity
has made A. L. Huber the top choice for negotiated project in Kansas
City.
As one of the oldest general contractors in Kansas City, it is
obvious that our approach to business relationships is built on
stability and integrity formed through honest and
sincere efforts as leaders in our industry. These values
continue to create a foundation that is constantly expanding to fit
today’s client and employee needs. We care about both making our
projects enjoyable experiences and finding sustainable solutions
for our future. We specialize in tailoring our services to
the needs of each client’s project specific goals. The tools
may have changed, but "always building value" remains the
guiding principle for third- and fourth-generation Hubers who carry
on this tradition in partnership with their large family of
employees led by President Phil Thomas.

including the first private-sector pervious asphalt installation
in Kansas City.

hear about A.L. Huber. Randy reinforces our core values in all
that we do. Randy, whose focus is on project budgets,
estimating, and project procurement, brings a high level of
value to all of our clients. Randy has been the instigator of
many office traditions; he particularly nurtures the esprit de
corps of the company by encouraging participation in
company-wide events such as our annual baseball outing, our
bowling tournament and the A. L. Huber golf championship.
