Current Project Spotlight

Orangutans at the KC Zoo got a new home over the Memorial Day Weekend! The 3,400-square-foot outdoor habitat includes a water feature, naturalistic trees and rocks for climbing and realistic nesting areas for the great apes. The outdoor exhibit includes a 14’6” dry moat below the surface level and a Tree Pavilion viewing area for visitors. A Rainforest Walk leads visitors into the interpretive display area and then to a lower viewing area where visitors can play interactive games with the orangutans. The Orangutan’s love their new home at the Kansas City Zoo and A.L. Huber is honored to have been a part of this amazing exhibit!
