St. Rosalia Ribbon Cutting

Celebrating Community Impact: St. Rosalia Center Ribbon Cutting

A meaningful milestone was recently celebrated at St. Rosalia Center in Northeast Kansas City with the official ribbon cutting—a project designed to serve generations to come.

As the construction manager, A.L. Huber was proud to partner with the Diocese of Kansas City–St. Joseph, Bright Futures Fund, and the Holy Cross community to bring this vision to life.

A Space Built for Growth and Connection

The 16,427-square-foot addition expands the campus of Holy Cross Catholic School with a thoughtfully designed, multi-purpose facility that supports both education and community engagement.

The new center includes:

  • Dedicated classrooms serving early childhood education programs
  • A full gymnasium designed for athletics and daily student use
  • A flexible stage and performance area for events, presentations, and gatherings
  • ICC 500 Storm Shelter

This combination of spaces allows the building to function far beyond a traditional school addition—creating a hub for learning, activity, and connection.

Designed for Safety and Resilience

Beyond its educational and community-focused features, the St. Rosalia Center was built with safety at its core. The facility includes a storm shelter engineered to withstand extreme weather conditions, providing critical protection for students, staff, and the surrounding neighborhood.

This dual-purpose approach reflects a broader commitment to designing spaces that not only serve daily needs but also provide long-term resilience.

A Generational Investment in Northeast Kansas City

The opening of the St. Rosalia Center represents more than the completion of a building—it marks a significant investment in the future of Northeast Kansas City.

As noted during the project’s opening, this is the first new construction of its kind in the area in decades, reinforcing a commitment to education, accessibility, and community development for years to come.

From early childhood education to community events and gatherings, the center is positioned to be a cornerstone for both the school and the broader neighborhood.

Built Through Partnership

Projects like the St. Rosalia Center are only possible through strong collaboration. From donors and community leaders to design partners and trade contractors, this effort truly reflects what can be accomplished when a shared vision is backed by collective commitment.

At A.L. Huber, we value the opportunity to be part of projects that extend beyond construction—projects that create meaningful spaces, strengthen communities, and leave a lasting impact.
