office renovation

AssistRx

A.L. Huber led the 70,000 sq. ft. transformation of a former fitness center into a state-of-the-art office and specialty pharmacy facility for AssistRx. Located in a pedestrian retail district, the project required careful demolition and construction sequencing to ensure safety and minimal disruption to the surrounding area.

The initial renovation included extensive demolition, structural reinforcement, floor infill and pour back, new roof overlay, curtain wall glazing, and metal panel installation. Specialized HVAC systems were installed to separate pharmacy operations from general office areas, and the electrical systems included an emergency backup generator. The project also included full site improvements such as new parking surfaces, lighting, and landscaping.

After TEVA vacated the building just over a year later, AssistRx moved in. A.L. Huber worked alongside JLL to remodel 20,000 sq. ft. of the facility, tailoring the space to meet the specific needs of the new tenant while preserving the integrity of the original build.

Project Features:

  • Transformed fitness facility into office and specialty pharmacy
  • Curtain Wall glazing added to exterior facade
  • HVAC systems isolating pharmacy from general office space
  • Electrical with emergency backup generator
