A.L. Huber was selected to transform a department store into a dual-attraction: LEGOLAND Discovery Center and SEA LIFE Aquarium. This high-profile and much-anticipated opening was delivered two months before the original scheduled completion date. A.L. Huber’s preconstruction process and focus on schedule, allowed Merlin Entertainments to open the doors and sell tickets ahead of schedule.
Just for kids, zones encourage the little ones to burn off their energy by climbing, jumping, and having a great time in a safe and enclosed kids’ play area. LEGOLAND uses extensive theming throughout the entire space. Specialty subcontractors were scheduled to incorporate LEGO’s strong brand and the experience of LDC. Over 5 million LEGOs were used to build replicas of various areas and attractions in and around Kansas City.
